A core collection for bladder clover (Trifolium spumosum L.) was developed using ecological and agro-morphological data (Ghamkhar et al 2008). The core collection was developed from the examination of near-complete ecological data for 313 accessions collected from 12 countries, selected from a total of 398 accessions conserved in the Australian Trifolium Genetic Resources Collection (Perth, Western Australia). A two-step selection process using ecological data and stratified proportional strategy followed by combined datasets and maximising strategy best represents the whole collection of T. spumosum in the core. The bladder clover collection was transferred to the Australian Pastures Genebank during its formation in 2015 and is available for order.
