Foxtail millet (Setaria italica (L.) P. Beauv.) is an ideal crop for changing climates with high photosynthetic efficiency. A study was conducted on the foxtail millet core collection, consisting of 155 accessions, using mini lysimeters to evaluate their performance under both terminal drought stress and well-watered conditions. This investigation led to the identification of a group of accessions exhibiting high transpiration efficiency (Krishnamurthy et al. 2016), which is reported as tolerance to drought. This subset provides a list of accessions tolerance to drought in foxtail millet.
