Yellow spot is a stubble-borne fungal leaf disease of wheat caused by Pyrenophora tritici-repentis. Yellow spot (also known as tan spot) is a global problem, and results in severe economic damage. In Australia it is one of the most-costly diseases to the wheat industry. Adult plant resistance is preferred over seedling resistance to control other diseases in wheat and has the potential to offer non-race specific resistance to Yellow Spot.
This data is provided by the GRDC-funded CIMMYT Australia ICARDA Germplasm Exchange (CAIGE) project. The materials included in this subset are considered to be "Resistant" to the pathogen.
