The digital plates were created from October to November 2025, based on photographs taken with a Nikon D7500 camera in manual mode, ensuring complete control over lighting and depth of field. A stereoscope with an integrated camera was used to record fine structures and diagnostic details, obtaining high-resolution images that complement the macro-photographic documentation. Each specimen was photographed against a black background to optimize contrast and facilitate the appreciation of diagnostic structures. The editing, composition, and final arrangement of the botanical elements were done in Adobe Photoshop, incorporating metric scales expressed in centimeters. The final result is a series of Lankester-style plates that integrate diagnostic features of some Ipomoea species conserved at the International Potato Center.
