This subset comprises of 33 selected superior Baobab (Adansonia digitata) accessions identified for their high-quality leaves used as vegetables. The accessions are drawn from the Samanko Field Genebank in Mali and were selected based on desirable traits such as leaf yield, tenderness, and nutritional value. Baobab leaves are widely consumed in the Sahel region as a nutritious vegetable, rich in vitamins, minerals, and essential nutrients, contributing significantly to household food and nutritional security. This subset supports targeted research, conservation, and utilization of accessions with enhanced leafy vegetable traits.
