The Iranian Wheat Landrace Collection, elite selections

The Iranian Wheat Landrace Collection was amassed mainly in 1935 from country-wide collections from farmers’ fields and market places by a University of Tehran professor. Sanjaya Rajaram was a renowned wheat breeder at the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center in Mexico, who selected the materials included in this subset.
