Cassava accessions were planted in Palmira and assessed for roots pulp's color. The color is an important trait for consumption preferences and also carotenoids content (precursor of vitamin A). The results obtained indicate that the accessions held at the genebank vary in terms of roots pulp's color. This subset contains 10 accessions for each root pulp color: white, yellow, pink and cream. These 40 accessions were selected by making a histogram of the distribution of colors of 4410 accessions out of the 6,643 total accessions in the cassava collection.
