Long and tapered, yellow roots. Straight, non-forked uniform root shape. Outer color intensity ranges from light to moderate. Shoulder are rounded with slight green coloration. Smooth texture. Yellow core. Roots measure 4.5-8.2" long by 0.8-1.2" wide and weigh 1-3 ozs. Vigorous and dense, dark green foliage. Raw carrots are slightly pithy with a subtle flavor. Drier texture. Slightly bitter. Cooked carrots have a strong carrot flavor with a dense texture. Best eaten cooked. from Anpetu Oihankesni (CO OI A) who indicated this variety is a French heirloom
