Remarks
GSOR 1, also known as KB 1789, is a dominant genetic male sterile mutant, induced by gamma radiation of the cultivar Kaybonnet. It is maintained by bulking Msms sterile plants, which have as much as 32.9% seed set under open pollination. The bulk seed will produce plants that segregate 1 male sterile:1 fertile. Except for sterility, GSOR 1 is phenotypically identical to its parent, Kaybonnet.
