Variety used as seed source for apple seedling rootstocks in Finland. Fruit: small-medium, 60-70 mm; 30-70% red, splashed stripes; round-conic; soft, cream colored flesh; sweet, astringent; quality poor; flesh oxidizes; harvest season very early, early August, 8 weeks before Delicious; no commercial value. Tree: vigorous; upright growth; early leaf senescence; medium yields; extreme biennial cropping; drops; Diploid (Proc. Am. Soc. Hort. Sci. 82:56. 1963). Seed source for rootstocks. R.D. Way, 1993.
