Fruit: size small, up to 6 cm, some years. Blushed red over greenish-yellow (almost no red some years). Flesh pure white, resists browning, good dessert and keeper, juicy and drying. Very good for cooking, needs thinning. S. Nelson of U of S "best quality apple". Manchester notes, "well suited to espalier culture. Tree: very sprawling. Annual pruning prevents setting of numerous small fruits and breakage of long limbs. Falls when ripe. Hardy.
