Morphological characterization of Ulluco
This catalog contains passport information, morphologic data, and ploidy levels of 432 accessions of ulluco (Ullucus tuberosus) maintained in the International Potato Center (CIP) Genebank.
Different institutions along the Andean region hold collections of orphan crops, germplasm with limited knowledge and research. The CIP has a collection of ulluco with 548 accessions originating in several regions of Perú and some parts of Argentina, Colombia, and Ecuador. Beside potato (Solanum tuberosum), ulluco is a tuber crop with the greatest are planted in the Andean highlands with well-established market; therefore, it is source of income for thousands of farmer families. However, the major food relevance of ulluco is for self-consumption, thus considered as a complementary crop for food security in the Andean highlands.

En caso haya presencia de tallos elongados, en plena floración, tres a siete tallospor planta sobresalen por encima del follaje y tienden a ser decumbentes a rastreros,cubriendo más del 50% del surco hacia el fin del ciclo vegetativo de la planta.
