Phoenix roebelenii is a small statured (1 - 2 m) palm, with either solitary or clustering stems. It is commonly cultivated as an ornamental, either in pots or in the ground, in areas with suitable climates. Its conservation status may be considered somewhat vulnerable due to its restricted distribution (riparian or cliff areas in SE Asia), habitat loss, and horticultural trade (although most ornamental specimens are propagated from other propagated plants).
