"Citron limon?" (from donor's notes). Selection of RSD 1998042. Of 31 seeds of RSD 1998042, 8 germinated. ISSR markers revealed that all seedlings were unique and therefore zygotic (work performed by Prof Mikeal Roose, 2001). So, more probably a citron? However, photo appears more lemon-like than citron-like. On 01/08/2009, two seedlings were selected and propagated for maintenance under protection: RRUT 427 and RRUT 428. The remainder of the seedlings will be maintained for the time being. RRUT 427 was selected from a tree having fruiter larger on the average than other trees of RSD 1998042. (RR Krueger, 02/28/2010)
