The Millennium Seed Bank at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew updates passport data in Genesys.

The team at Kew’s Millennium Seed Bank (MSB) updated passport data on more than 88,000 accessions in Genesys, 3,700 of which were sent to Kew as part of Crop Wild Relative (CWR) Project collection expeditions that took place between 2013 and 2018. The list of accessions collected by the CWR Project can be found in a Genesys subset.

The accession-level data from MSB in Genesys is composed of more than 35,000 different species, belonging to over 5,800 genera. The material is maintained primarily as seed collections, and in some cases as either DNA or cryopreserved material.

The team at the Crop Trust thanks all at the MSB for their contributions to the CWR Project, including keeping data in Genesys up-to-date.
