Characterization data of NPGRL mung bean accessions (2016-2017)
This dataset contains characterization data of mung bean accessions conserved at NPGRL. NPGRL regenerates and characterizes germplasm aiming to provide morphological information to its plant breeding users. Characterization is performed on a project-basis manner, giving priority to accessions originally collected in the Philippines. The information here provided was obtained through characterizations conducted between 2016 and 2017.
From sowing to 50% seedling emergence
Color of keel of freshly opened flowers
Color of standard of freshly opened flowers
When 50% of pods have dried
At 50% flowering
Recorded for the leaf at the fourth node
When first pod changes color
From 10 randomly selected pods after being dried to appropriate moisture content
When first pod changes color
At 15 days after emergence
At 3-4 weeks after planting
Number of peduncles having at least one fully grown pod at first harvest including both mainstem and branches
The node number starting from the unifoliate (primary leaf) node
Length of longest branch. When first pod changes color
Mean number for 10 randomly selected pods
