We're thrilled to announce that Genesys is now fully accessible in French and Spanish for all registered users! We would like to thank our early adopters for the initial testing and their invaluable feedback.

You can now experience all of Genesys in these languages. This includes access not only the website, but also data provided by genebanks and to powerful tools like the Subsetting Tool and material requests, as well as tutorials and user guides that make using Genesys easier and more intuitive.

Genesys PGR is a global platform dedicated to the sharing of information on plant genetic resources, supporting researchers, conservationists, and agricultural experts worldwide in their efforts to secure crop diversity or develop new varieties from it. By connecting genebanks to provide access to this data, Genesys plays a crucial role in agricultural research and food security.

Making Genesys available in multiple languages is essential for expanding the reach and impact of crop genebanks, allowing a broader community of researchers and users to explore this invaluable resource. With the addition of French, Spanish, and soon Portuguese, we're excited to make the platform more accessible across diverse linguistic groups, empowering more people to engage with plant genetic data. By removing language barriers, we’re empowering a wider audience to engage deeply with plant genetic data and advance their research.

How to access Genesys in your language

1. On any page, locate the Login button in the main menu.

2. Log In or Register

   • Existing Users: Click on the Login button again to enter your credentials.

   • New Users:

     • Option 1: Use Google Login
       If you have a Google account, simply click Google Login. The first time you use this option, a Genesys account will be created for you automatically. You also won’t need to remember a separate username and password combination.

     • Option 2: Register a Genesys Account
       If you would like to register manually, click the Registration button to create a new account with your email and password.

3. Access the Language Options
   Once logged in, go to your profile menu. Here, you can select to browse Genesys in French, Spanish, or Portuguese!

4. Start Exploring
   Enjoy browsing Genesys in your preferred language.
